What became clear during the break
Complexity often comes from too many priorities, half-decisions, and too little clarity about what deserves attention.
Stepping away from work has a way of revealing what truly matters. Often the complexity organizations struggle with is not created by technology, but by too many priorities, too many half-decisions, and too little clarity.
The urgent topics fade quickly. Structural issues remain: unclear ownership, fuzzy strategy, and postponed decisions.
That is usually a signal. Calm organizations do not come from less work. They come from better focus.
